"The future belongs to children, adolescents and young people"

Education and further development of children, adolescents and young adults – a core concern of the Stiftung Zukunft jetzt!.

As recently highlighted by ’Fridays for Future’, children and young people are ready to make positive changes to their environment and actively help shape the future of the planet. We can offer orientation at an early stage in our families and in educational institutions to make them aware of environmental issues and motivate them to take action.

The Stiftung Zukunft jetzt!  therefore supports ecologically sustainable educational concepts at a national and international level by offering programmes for environmental and nature adventure learning, as well as various children's and youth programmes aimed at promoting respect and compassion for all living beings.

We also want to provide financial support for young students, to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop further skills for ecological and social responsibility, regardless of their assets and income. The Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! makes this possible with a scholarship called ‘Deutschlandstipendium’ for selected degree courses focusing on sustainability. We also support places of learning with a ‘green spirit’ which pursue a holistic, action- and value-oriented approach.

The Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! also sees itself as a partner for the reform of conventional academic programmes with the aim of adjusting them to the new ecological challenges.

By establishing alternative degree courses and making experts of a novel orientation available, we can contribute to the transformation of environmental and nature conservation education.

Furthermore, we support research projects with the key focus on better understanding of natural processes and dynamics and the statistical support of the facts. Their aim should be the respect for the environment and nature conservation.
