About the association

With the projects "Step by step conversion to biocyclic-vegan cultivation" and "Step by step to biocyclic-vegan cultivation: Knowing how!", the Förderkreis aims to increase awareness of biocyclic-vegan cultivation among farmers and gardeners and to encourage them to obtain certification in accordance with the biocyclic-vegan guidelines. In addition, the current project (starting 1 March 2024) aims to intensify cooperation with like-minded organizations.

The Förderkreis Biozyklisch-Veganer Anbau e.V. is a non-profit, broad-based association of committed private individuals, companies and institutions from agriculture, processing, trade and science as well as organizations that are committed to animal rights and a vegan lifestyle. The association advises companies in German-speaking countries on converting to biocyclic-vegan farming methods and raises public awareness of the benefits of biocyclic-vegan farming.

Biocyclic-vegan farming stands for regenerative, sustainable organic farming that opens up a new animal ethical dimension in agriculture.

Why we fund

The projects thus promote ecological cultivation that focuses not only on climate and environmental protection aspects but also on animal ethics, a vegan lifestyle and the production of plant-based food for direct human consumption. The Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! is already funding the project for the second year. The first project entitled "Step by step conversion to biocyclic-vegan cultivation" ran from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024. The follow-up project began on March 1, 2024 and will run until February 28, 2025.

PROJECT DETAILS

What we fund

The current project will continue the online farm consultation hours already established by the predecessor project last year and the on-site consultations, including the survey of the biocyclic farm index. In addition, the cultivation guide for the practice of biocyclic-vegan cultivation will be revised for the consultations and a new edition will be published. There will also be a trade fair stand at BioAgrar in Offenburg in October 2024 in collaboration with TransFARMation Deutschland and several concept meetings with both TransFARMation Deutschland and Faba Konzepte for even closer cooperation.

In addition to on-site advice for farm managers and online farm advice consultations, the components of the predecessor project also included a stand at the Öko-Feldtage, the meeting place for practitioners, in Ditzingen (Baden-Württemberg) in June 2023, as well as further training for the project manager.
