About the association

With the projects “Step by step conversion to biocyclic-vegan cultivation” and “Step by step to biocyclic-vegan cultivation: Knowing how!”, the Förderkreis has already been able to raise awareness of biocyclic-vegan cultivation among farmers and gardeners and encourage them to obtain certification in accordance with the biocyclic-vegan guidelines. The current project “Promoting structures for biocyclic-vegan cultivation” (start March 1, 2025) now enables the implementation of further activities within the framework of the association's objectives in addition to advising farm managers.

The Förderkreis Biozyklisch-Veganer Anbau e.V. is a non-profit, broad-based association of committed private individuals, companies and institutions from agriculture, processing, trade and science as well as organizations that are committed to animal rights and a vegan lifestyle. The association advises companies in German-speaking countries on converting to biocyclic-vegan farming methods and raises public awareness of the benefits of biocyclic-vegan farming.

Why we fund

The projects thus promote ecological cultivation that focuses not only on climate and environmental protection aspects but also on animal ethics, a vegan lifestyle and the production of plant-based food for direct human consumption. The Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! foundation is already funding the project for the third year. The first project, entitled “Converting to biocyclic-vegan cultivation step by step”, ran from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024. The follow-up project began on March 1, 2024 and ended on February 28, 2025. The current project will run from March 1 to December 31, 2025.

PROJECT DETAILS

What we fund

The current project will continue the online farm advisory service already established by the previous projects and the on-site advisory services, including the survey of the biocyclic farm index. A position of around 15 hours per week will be created for these and other administrative and practical activities of the support group. In addition to on-site advice for farm managers and the online farm advisory service, the components of the previous projects also included a stand at the 2023 Öko-Feldtage in Ditzingen and the 2024 BioAgrar trade fair in Offenburg, two networking meetings with the Faba Konzepte and TransFARMation Deutschland associations and annual advisory training for the project manager.
