Courage to transform

Man-made climate change is one of, if not the greatest challenge of our time. The question of how we cover our immense and ever-increasing energy needs plays a key role.

At the moment, we are still dependent on fossil fuels. If we are to succeed in limiting global warming, we must learn to use energy more efficiently at a global level and focus on clean, sustainable energy sources.

In order to advance this overdue energy transition, also the European Union and its politicians have to act.

We want to support this transformation and are currently looking for suitable partners. Not only do clean energy generation methods (e.g. photovoltaics and wind power) play a role, but also the question of which levers make sense at a political and economic level.

Whether wind energy, hydropower, biomass, geothermal energy or photovoltaics – they have developed from a technological niche to a central element of power supply within just a few years.

And this development is progressing:

Renewable energies are expected to be the basis of climate-friendly electricity generation already in the near future. Their continuously growing share in the electricity supply entails both opportunities and challenges. In addition to issues concerning the storage of electricity, this also includes the creation of network interconnection. We currently support, for example, vocational training in the area of renewable energies as well as youth education projects in the Southern hemisphere.

The foundation is currently looking for suitable funding partners.

We will leave our children scorched earth if we do not switch to renewable energies as quickly as possible. A 100% switch to renewable energies is not only ecologically but also economically imperative.
