About the organization
A vision emerged from a paddle stroke in September 2017: drinkable Danube water by 2042. The non-profit association Pure Water for Generations e.V. is working towards this vision with its Water Days, among other things.
During the Water Days, schoolchildren in Germany and Austria are reconnected with our primal element, water. The students experience water on different levels and in the afternoon, each student is allowed to make their own paddle stroke on the stand-up paddleboard.
The focus of the water day is on seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and feeling our water. In addition, the day is based on mindfulness for yourself and for our water.
The water day is embedded in a water school lesson before the water day - which deals with the purely scientific side of water - and a reflection session after the water day.
Since 2018, the association has been able to inspire more than 13,000 pupils and more than 800 teachers for our water on Water Days.
We humans need to regain a sense of the importance of water for all life on this earth. With the Water Days, we bring this feeling to students, teachers and their families.
Why we fund
Together with the Stiftung Zukunft jetzt! foundation, Pure Water for Generations e.V. would like to reconnect children and young people with our primal element, water. On a water day, the students feel the water on different levels and a feeling grows in each student for the importance of water for our lives and for nature. This creates a seed of mindfulness for our water and ourselves that will flourish.

I didn't even know that being mindful was so relaxing.
